Jeremy Piven
Jeremy Piven has earned multiple awards over the course of his acting career. He is most known for his role as Ari Gold in the HBO series Entourage, for which he received three Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe win. His versatility and talent have allowed him to play both dramatic and comedic roles. Throughout his career, he has also been active in philanthropic efforts and supports many causes that benefit society.
Piven was born on July 26, 1965 in Manhattan, New York City. He grew up in a family of actors and drama teachers. His parents Byrne and Joyce Piven taught at the Piven Theatre Workshop, a performing arts school founded by their fathers in 1952. Jeremy was a founding member of the theater group and performed in several plays during his time at the school.
The Rise and Fall of Jeremy Piven’s Acting Career
After graduating from high school, he attended Harand Theater Camp in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. He then went to Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, where he studied theater and left after his sophomore year to attend New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
During his early career, Piven appeared in films such as Very Bad Things and The Family Man, but it wasn’t until 2000 that he gained fame for his role in Seinfeld as George Costanza’s brash brother, Seth. The show would run for eight seasons and garner Piven critical acclaim and numerous accolades, including two Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe award.
